Sta.Cecilia Parochial School
Sta. Cecilia Parochial School Inc. (SCPS). started its operation as a Catholic institution in June 1993 under the administration of Rev. Fr. Efren C. Villanueva, then Parish Priest of Sta. Cecilia Parish. Inspired by the resolution and decrees of the Second Plenary Council of the Philippines on the role of Catholic Schools in evangelization. Fr. Efren with the approval of the Diocese and help of the community, established SCPS. The school started with only 47 pupils distributed in nursery, kindergarten, preparatory and grade 1 levels. Every year one grade level is added, this made the completion of the elementary department which had its first batch of graduates in 1998. The secondary department started its operation in June 1998 and had its first batch of high school graduates in 2002. Pre-school to JHS Program are Deped Recognized while SHS has its Government Permit to operate. SCPS is PEAC Certified. in response to Deped's new Basic Education program under Republic Act 10533 otherwise known as "Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013", SCPS, opened its Senior High School (SHS) department in 2016 with Academic Track and strands in Administration, Business and Management (ABM), Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS), and General Academics (GA). It had its first batch of SHS graduates in 2018. School Directors from past to present include: Rev Fr. Efren C. Villanueva (School Founder), Rev. Fr. Joselito R. Rocero, Rev. Fr. Romarico V. Hilario, Rev. Fr. Roy B. Crucero, Rev. Fr. Noeh E. Elnar and Rev. Fr. Gerard Joaquin V. Masangya. SCPS envisions a transformative education by being a Christ-centered, renewed, and evangelized community that lives by the virtues of St. Cecilia. The school commits to strengthen the virtues of: Faith, Hope, Purity, Humility, and Charity; Provide quality Catholic Education; Create a Christian environment that provides opportunities of discipleship in the community. Republic Act 10533 states that every graduate of basic education shall be empowered individual who has learned, through a program that is rooted on sound education principles and geared towards excellence, the foundations for learning throughout life, the competence to engage in work and be productive, the ability to coexist in fruitful harmony with local and global communities, the capability to engage in autonomous, creative, and critical thinking, and the capacity and willingness to transform others and oneself. With the demands of 21st century education, SCPS aligned all its curriculum to the K to 12 Basic Education Program, the School Vision and Mission Statements, Goals and Core values. Administrators and teachers continuously update themselves with the current trends in education by attending seminars and undergoing training to acquire necessary skills to perform their job. Some pursued graduate studies. Furthermore, the school annually upgrades its facilities. School year 2019-2020, a new journey for the school. Rev. Fr. Glenn William Z. Relucio, PHD is appointed as new Superintendent and Rev. Fr. Gerard Joaquin V. Masangya as our new School Director. Clustering in the diocese was implemented.
